Need some ideas for contributing

Hi there, I found processing 2 months ago, and i think it's a perfect subject for my final thesis. I would like to develop a library or something, but havent decided something to start with. Any help/idea would be great! Thank you in advance PS. Currently i'm working with flash/actionscript, and i know java pretty well. I'm also trying to learn XSI (although it seems a little hard for a 3d newbie..) The project should last 3-4 months

A scene graph might be nice, with loaders/exporters for some standard image formats, and viewers with different modes (arcball, walk, fly etc). You could get clever with things like culling modes (at least frustum culling) and collision detection, stuff like that.
