PDE file doesn't launch Processing with file

RE: Windows XP version I couldn't locate the answer to this in the news groups, but why is it that double-clicking on a PDE file (i.e., a processing file) bring up Processing, but with the wrong program? I would assume it would bring up the Processing and the specific code in the PDE that is clicked. Instead, double clicking brings up Processing with whatever was the last code developed. A related question: can one open PDE files anywhere or is one forced to place everything in the Sketch directory? I can't see a way around the latter. -paul

| that might be a bug. check the buglist and if it's not in there, report it. on Aug 19th, 2004, 10:22pm, metaphorz wrote: A related question: can one open PDE files anywhere or is one forced to place everything in the Sketch directory I can't see a way around the latter. -paul |
| that's a limitation at the moment. will change in the future. check the current status here: http://processing.org/discourse/yabb/board_Collaboration.html depending on which version of processing you're working with changing the pde.properties file might help. (search for sketch in it.)

we haven't implemented a way to double-click on pde files and have them open in processing.. just one of those things since it's still alpha software.. it's on the todo list but not completed.
