here's a little applet that allows you to draw sound waveforms that aren't stuck to a timeline. You can draw waves, loops, and spirals in all directions and the applet will pull a waveform from it and play it. When the applet loads, just start scrawling. The sound you draw will start playing when you release the mouse. http://www.mattgilbert.net/SoundScrawl/ the slower you draw a line, the lower the tone will be. it's not much, but it's hopefully the beginning of some more interesting sound/gesture experiments. matt
