I've put this together using the new SONIA project. Note you'll need the jSyn plug-in available here: http://www.softsynth.com/jsyn/plugins/
 
Sonic Agitator

Blocks spin in 3D space relative to sound volume. Things altered by the volume are the blocks size, the placing in the Z space and the speed of the spin as well as the colour. Press keys 1-5 to alter the amount of blocks.

Nicely done! But i think changing the whole field's rotation with your mouse instead of moving it randomly makes it more interactive and better to look at.

Thanks Amit! Forgot to mention you can press keys 1-5 to alter the amount of blocks.
