using a midi input as a PC keyboard?

Hello all
 
(men, I do have a lot of midi questions!)
 
I am wondering if there's any windows application that maps midi notes to letter-keyboard characters? so I could take advantage of the "key" commands in P5...  
I only found dozens of apps that do the other way around,  transforming the keyboard into midi...
