EZI/O board and processing

not working.
has anyone got it to work? I've been testing with it and after four hours, still no luck.
mostly getting a:
serial port not working
error from time to time...
I can't even be sure if processing knows that the IO board is hooked up onto my com port...
please help.....................

perhaps you try to use another serial device to test the port. i tried it with an old serial mouse. just println the incoming signals.
does the board need certain initialization commands? i do not use it. but some other devices i used needed some initialization strings bevore they started working.
at least: did you have checked the right com port in the processing menu?
