Physical Etch a Sketch

A custom drawing tool that uses two rotary potentiometers as an interface. Inspired by the classic children's toy.

the possible applications of incorporating small custom devices in p5 appear extremely interesting to me.
 
so far i've done a lil' with manipulation of webcam input, but it's somewhat limited to the visual. would you mind explaining how i might go about physically connecting a small sensor to a program, such as you've done?
 
btw, thanks for making ur p5 code so easy to read
