Knocked this one up for work a few days ago, as our existing Pie chart applet (based on an applet by Tom Van Vleck) started to go funky on our client's systems. Took two hours, so it's really quite raw, but it works.
You pass quantities to the applet through the params, it does the rest. Note that it uses Futura Bold, and the colours are hardcoded. There are some other fiddily bits that were specific to the client, but the code should give you some idea what's going on.

Someone may want to modify it so that it draws on mouseevent, rather than in loop.
