hi there

i'm an artist working with max/msp, flash, and
processing. i live in san francisco... i'd love to meet other people who are into programming art and installations, possibly for collaborations. here's a couple small samples of what i've done with processing:

a realtime ascii art drawing program... very rough but it works pretty well.

these are some renders from the first processing app i made which outputs still images. i modified the code to output aribtrarily sized images, and i have some 24x36" prints @ 300dpi that i've rendered using this algorithm. it took my 2ghz pc a WEEK to make this. here's a 10% sample:

i also write music and have done prints and things as well. www.keepadding.com has tons more. cheers..

Asciidraw is cute! Can you modify it to work with an image?

The artificial paintings are just amazing...

Here's a basic ascii-art generator with a scale that has 70 levels from white to black. It's easy to have this work with live video -- just put the pixel array in a loop.
