Data directory - lots of files
« on: Apr 9th, 2004, 10:26pm »

Not a bug, so much as a performance issue.

But if you put lots of files 2000 ( I was trying to use) in the data directory, the program just dies, and acts strangely. I don't know if it's loading the data in at runtime, but somethign weird is happening.

Thanks,

yeah, it's trying to re-copy all those data files to a temp directory with your sketch. it's a problem.

perhaps when the data folder gets large we'll force things to run in java mode, which keep the data folder in its place.
