instalation

running processing-0058 on windows 2000
i unzipped file and double clicked processing.exe and recieved the folloing alertbox:
quicktime for java could not be found. please download quicktime from apple at: http://www.apple.com/quicltime/dowload and use custom install to make sure quicktime for java is included.
i did this a few times and checked that quicktime for java was installed through the update menu (it is installed).
I tryed installeding the standard and pro versions.
any sugestions

open up a comand prompt from the start menu, and type:
echo %QTJAVA%
(and hit enter). what's it say?

it says:
"D:\Program Files\JavaSoft\JRE\1.3.1_04\lib\QTJava.zip
was I suppose to do anything more in the install than just unzip it to the program folder?

nope, the install for p5 is just unzipping it, so you've done that correctly.
is your windows drive on C: or D: ? unfortunately, processing release 58 assumes that windows is on C, so it looks for qtjava in C:\windows\system32\qtjava.zip (for winxp/winme/win98 ) or C:\winnt\system32\qtjava.zip (for winnt/2k). but it looks like your windows folder might be on D:. is that the case?
this is actually a bug, which will be fixed in 59. for the time being you can also try out rev 56 (not 57, as it's broken) since that will work as well.

that must be it. I'm running a duelboot win 98/2000 and the 2000 is on the d: drive. i'll try release 56, and if that does not work i'll just wait for the next release.
