I am a penniless, education-less interested learner fumbling through learning programming on a 32 bit computer discarded from work. I have been able to teach myself HTML and PHP and I'm ready for Java (but Java is HARD!)
Thank you for not using ultra-tech lingo! I'm finding that many of the conventions of the other coding languages apply here as well but I always have to look up the words and acronyms programmers use in order to understand what they are saying.
You rock. Thank you. I'm looking forward to a good year of great learning here.

Good luck to you. In my experience the Processing forum is a far more welcoming place than most forums. Play with Processing a while, ask questions, and when it is comfortable then maybe it is time to venture out to general Java
