Try looking on their wiki for starters, then perhaps their forums.

Windows XP is no longer maintained by Microsoft so I think you'll find development products disappearing. However, if your inclined to continue using XP as a development OS, then you'll need Visual Studio 2013 which is available only as a 90-day trial. There is no free version that I know of.

However, to save you time and potentially endless questions in this forum, you can use Code:Blocks with the MinGW compiler system as an alternative to VS2013:

Actually, Code::Blocks is the recommended OF IDE for both Windows & Linux:

And AFAIK, Code::Blocks gonna keep WinXP compatibility for a long time still! O:-)
After all, there's nothing technologically important after WinXP!
"Metro" API is outta question for many apps yet! >:)
In Win9/10, the old traditional non-Metro API gonna reign supreme again in the foreseeable future! 3:-O

  • Code blocks works, thank you

  • As said, OF questions should be asked in OF forums. Here, some people can answer you, but you will find less knowledgeable people...
