Electric Objects: A Computer Made for Art
This is a nice idea, a computer built into a screen for use as an animated picture frame.
and it runs processing (in fact casey reas has been involved)

but it's a bit expensive (especially if you aren't american). and all the examples look like the world's slowest screensaver.
