mavericks + processing + apple remote desktop
this seems fairly obvious (in retrospect), but for people using apple remote desktop + processing, something changed in mavericks (or remote desktop) where sharing your screen can cause a drop in your processing sketch frameRate by 10-15fps. i post this after a week of trying to figure out why my install machine's (2.3ghz mac mini) performance dropped after updating to mavericks and i only discovered it after accidentally closing remote desktop while debugging... d'oh. i didn't tend to see that level of impact on mountain lion (so it wasn't on my radar), but thought i'd share in case anyone else runs into unexpectedly slow frame rates while using remote desktop.
