Processing extremly slow to open, and sketckes doesnt run!

Dear all,

I'm new in the forum. I work with processing some months ago, just playing a little bit withouy any problem. Yesterday I download de new version, and I am unable to start it.

From the flashes screen to the IDE it takes las 30 or 60 seconds to open (my laptop is an i7,8Gbram...) and when it is open I try to run any example sketch and they simply never start to run.

any suggestions please?

Sounds like maybe a Java version problem? or a bad download? ...?

• What is the Processing version number?
• What operating system?
• Do you get any error messages in the Processing console?
• Do you get any errors in the system console while processing starts / runs?
• Have you tried completely deleting Processing and reinstalling it?

Also: if you open Tools > Add Tool, are you seeing error messages in the Contribution Manager?

it is 3.2.1 version Win 10 not a single error no errors

The funny thing is that at home works but in the university doesnt work.

The only difference is the internet connection of course, but , processing needs internet connection to work?

In the university I have to use a proxy and one certificate in order to connect.

Are you still experiencing these problems? On the day you submitted this question there were some weird issues with Processing and web-connections to library services which have since been resolved.

Having the same issue. We are using Processing at our high school, on the high school network. Processing: 3.2.1 Windows: 7 No error messages

Processing uses open network ports on localhost to communicate with sketches. Could your machines be restricted so that this is not possible, or could your hosts files be misconfigured? See for example discussion here:
