Why is Processing now called Base?
Just downloaded latest version (2.1) and Processing menu has options: About Base, Hide Base and Quit Base?
Answers
Where do you see this? What operating system are you using? Do you have any contributed tools or modes installed? After a quick check, I did not see these options... on Windows x64 Processing 2.1 with no tools and Java, Android, and JavaScript modes.
It's simply a bug in the release. Thanks for reporting. Official report here: https://github.com/processing/processing/issues/2217
