Processing 3.07beta x64 on Windows 8 freezing instantly upon start
Hello, I just downloaded processsing 3.07beta for windows 8 (64bit). I unzip and run the processing.exe and an editor window pops up but the window is frozen. I cannot click on anything, type anything or even X out the window. Anyone else seen this behavior? Not sure how to even begin troubleshooting this. Any pointers would be appreciated. Thanks!

This happens to me too (Win7) ... lasts for about 10-20 seconds. I think it might be java launching in the background..?
I just deleted yesterday's download after running it again and waiting but it didn't work. I redownloaded and ran processing.exe and it worked rightaway! I'm confused but glad it's working now. Weird part is that I had downloaded twice yesterday also and ran it with no results. Not sure if running VS Express in the background has anything to do with it, though closing it didn't help either. Thanks for the tip!
