I'm trying to send very specific sounds to a DC coupled sound card to control galvonometers to control x and y laser movement. I can send a low freq. sound and make the laser move, but it scans back and forth around the starting point as you would expect. This process works for the Peach Printer using sound in Blender 3d program. Does Minim have any functions that would allow specific control of the sound card like that? Like holding the left channel at 20% volume (just a steady dc voltage) and make the right channel scan or vice versa? I can make the scan happen, I just can't hold it steady. I also would like to control the polarity of the wave. For instance, I can send a 1 hz sound to a channel and make the duration 0.5 seconds and it will move the laser in one direction. But if I could play the same 1 hz sound with the opposite polarity, it would start at the center position and scan the other direction.
Maybe another way to ask all of this is has anyone used processing to control a sound card in order to make a laser show?
