Clicking a button to activate a zoom on an object

Hey everyone. I'm doing a project for a class and I'm trying to figure out how to trigger a "zoom in" on an object once I click a button. Much like that ScaleShape example in the Processing program where an image remains centered, but zoomed in based on mouseX. Except what I want to do is allow the zoom is activated by a button press instead of by mouseX.
