Controlling all pixels within a BLOB

I've been looking at BlobDetection and openCV libraries' blob capabilities. I'm interested in gaining control over all of the pixels within a blob so that i could, for example, change all of the pixels within a blob to red while leaving the surroundings undisturbed. are there any methods or other libraries that could facilitate such a thing?
