3D Printer printed my sketch
Apr 1st, 2010, 12:05pm

Hello,

finally, I have a sculpture I made with processing printed on a
3D-Printer.

I made two photos from two different sides:

The sculpture is produced by processing, exported with fluidforms to .obj and then loaded in Meshlab. There you can change the size and export to .stl.

A .stl can be uploaded to http://www.shapeways.com and you can order it there.

[edited] My small sketch can be now found here:

(not exactly the same but nearly  Wink )
with big help from this forum.  Smiley

I also exported a figure from processing and have it lasered
into a real glass cube.
You can see flat boxes and spheres.

They normally laser 3D-scans of faces but they also laser .obj-files:

Nice one   Cool

You might also add a link to the sketch you used for the 3D shape so we see all the stages.
