When I try to run my app, I am told:
"Note that release 1.0, libraries must be installed in a folder named 'libraries' inside the 'sketchbook' folder."

But I followed the Ess installation instructions.

I have the following:

mysketchbookfolder/libraries/Ess/library/Ess.jar

I am using Processing 1.0.9.

I restarted the PDE and it still does not work.

Any ideas?

You pop the library inside the folder where processing is installed

e.g  C:/program files/procesing 1.0/libraries/Ess

then if you have moved or unzipped ess properly what you have is another folder called library and inside that is the jave file ess

restart processing and it appears in your import library list in processing
