Progress Update!!!

Peter Blaskovic has expressed interest in providing some of his sketches as well as some of  his unfinished  wow! work after I introduced him to our efforts.

Any one desiring to see the awesome work he has done with processing can see his experiments here http://www.escapemotions.com/experiments.html

I especially like Fire II http://www.escapemotions.com/experiments/processing/fluid_fire/applet/index.html...

He has also has done work with animation http://www.escapemotions.com/animations.html however, I am unsure whether Processing is used or to what extent it influences his animation work.

This is great news!!!

nice, i really like his processing projects.
his animations are not made using processing through but i am sure it wont be a problem for him to make some animations for the video

Update

Here is a proof of concept http://www.openprocessing.org/visuals/?visualID=9360
The project will use open slide 1.0 for the sketch transitions. One of the proposed ideas from the idea poll was to have each sketch start and end at the same point.  Using open slide , not only can you achieve this,  you can record each person's movement on each individual sketch and store these in one central file. The file will be used for animation , audio and video. This will allow the seemless creation of quicktime .mov. You just download the open slide file and record directly to quicktime. It's a pretty neat use of Processing!

Look out for PROCESSING ROCKS ! - A sketch based texturing animation manipulated by all three (movement , audio and video) I will try to implement additive blending if I have enough time.

I came across these videos on www.vimeo.com

The 18 pieces are called Advanced Beauty.

Here is an excerpt of the description and directives
Quote:
Advanced Beauty
18 Sound Sculptures
................................................................................
...........................................................................
Advanced Beauty is an ongoing exploration of digital artworks born and influenced by sound, an ever-growing collaboration between programmers, artists, musicians, animators and architects.
................................................................................
...........................................................................
The first collection is a series of audio-reactive 'video sound sculptures'.
Inspired by synasthesia, the rare sensory experience of seeing sound or tasting colours,
these videos are physical manifestations of sound, sculpted by volume, pitch or structure of the soundtrack.
................................................................................
...........................................................................
The films embrace unusual video making processes, the visual programming language Processing, high-end audio analysis and fluid dynamic simulations alongside intuitive responses in traditional cell animation. Each artist was given the same set of parameters to work within; to start, finish and exist within a white space, creating a seamless coherence, all sculptures sharing the same white environment.
................................................................................
...........................................................................
Using 1920 HD format, with 5:1 surround sound, the films transform the screen into a digital canvas,
how the minimalism of a single, floating pixel can be as engaging as the maximalism of an intense multicoloured explosion.
................................................................................
...........................................................................
Curated by design studio Universal Everything and musician Freeform, Advanced Beauty is an international collaboration, taking in a family of artists from London, Russia, New York, Japan, Buenos Aires, Glasgow to San Francisco.
................................................................................
...........................................................................
This collection of films in the first in a series of exhibitions, with upcoming commissions for the Victoria & Albert Museum, London and galleries in Europe, USA and Japan.

I would like to contribute my sketch.

It is a simulation of evolution. There are many ways to interact with it.

You should disabled the escape key from top sketch because it's freezing applet.

Anyway, the applet's target size is 255*255 ?

Patricio González Vivo from the openprocessing.org forum has expressed interest in contributing.

He did a prototype keyboard. I liked it so much I did a youtube video of it
