Z alpha
Feb 15th, 2010, 10:31pm

Hey everyone
Just released an alpha of a game I have been working on for about two years now called "Z".

Here is a pic.
...

EDIT: Fixed the windows version (i think) and updated it to 1.01a

This is my first "large" project and I am not too good of a coder so set your standards low.

I gave it a try, but WASD controls on a french keyboard isn't really easy... Also, the framerate kept being printed on the console (I'm running linux), maybe you should better print it somewhere on the screen on "debug" mode?

Anyway, it looks great! I love the zombie look Smiley

When I execute application.windows/Z100a.exe I get the following error message:
Quote:
Java Virtual Machine Launcher
Could not create the Java virtual machine/

I'm not particularly familiar with JVMs and what makes them work or not work... What version of Java does the game need?

Directions for running it on a windows if the .exe version isn't working is on my blog.
I took off some stuff and resized the window as well as some minor bug fixes.

Seriously, don't kick yourself - this is great work! I'm just getting started  and will be happy if I can produce something this slick in the next few months

Is there anyone here on windows that can confirm that it works?

Thanks for the updated file(s).

The .exe version still doesn't play nice, but the applet seems to work just fine. The zombies got me.
