GCity a Research about generating urban structures

G City is a research project which is using a mathematical model to generate urban structures. G City is a “Generic City influenced by globalization.
As we know, among others there are two main approaches in design. One is “top-down”  and the other one is “bottom-up”  design. In this project, the mathematical model aims to mix these two disciplines to generate a real city. In other words this mathematical model is supposed to use the human input for the first approach and cellular automata for the second to finally simulate the development of a city.
There are three steps to generate a G City:
First, collect all the necessary existing information from GIS as well as other databases and integrate this in the mathematical model.
Secondly, using this information and other urban development rules allow the new city to emerge.
Finally, depending on this mathematical model of generations, the city can be optimized by a strategic plan
