Death of JOGL -> WebGL

A general status question about the future of JOGL inside processing.

Someone told me recently that JOGL may become a dead project, or may be merged with an existing one (like LWJGL). I didn't noticed, but JOGL is now on github.

But here, from the main developer site: http://blog.jausoft.com/

Quote:
JOGL is dead. Long live JOGL.

After a few hick-ups lately, the JOGL repositories (gluegen, jogl, jogl-demos and jogl-utils) are moved from kenai to github http://github.com/sgothel. The JOGL development team, will continue this project in it’s open source and free spirit. JOCL will follow this move as well.

I don't understand exactly the implication of this, but I see that it may have a huge impact on 3D libraries, such the planned codeanticode's GLGraphics.

For what I understood, WebGL is supposed to replace JOGL. We also had recently this problem about expired certificates, might it be related? So what are your thoughts about this? Should we stay with JOGL or look for something else?
