The Apology Grove

Can the Internet help people ask for forgiveness? apologygrove.org allows visitors to apologize to and forgive people.

I used Processing to create two virtual groves of trees: a bamboo grove for apologies, and a cedar grove for forgiveness. Eventually, I'd like to be able to hook up the system to a way to automatically plant an actual bamboo stalk in the Philippines for every apology registered on the site. The actual Processing code is very simple, but at least for now, it does the trick.  Smiley

I think the idea is fantastic and has been well implemented on the website.

I like this. It is using technology to do something human, rather than to show off the technology itself (which is different, but also cool).

It would be good if you could click on the bamboo shoots to see the apology it refers to....
