Problems with exported applets in Firefox on Mac?
Dec 20th, 2009, 7:03pm

Hi everyone,

I'm not sure this is a bug (or the right place to post this) so I'm just asking around to see if anyone else has the same problem.

I'm having a hard time viewing sketches on Firefox 3.5.5, Mac OSX 1.6.2.  Safari has no issue.

Applets will run, but after one or two page refresh I get an "error: java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java Heap Space"

Applets that use fonts or load images just won't run at all. I'm getting this on every applet, including some of the very simple examples.

I'm using Processing 1.0.9

d.

Look if Sun Java Plugin - How to Increase the Java Applet Memory Limit article (first Google hit) can help you.
Despite what is written, most of the instructions should work for Java 1.5 as well (you don't tell us which version you use).
