Baud Above 115200

I'm working on controlling an OLED using serial commands in processing. Everything works great but unfortunately I am receiving an error whenever I try to set a baud above 115200. After looking through the forum this seems to be the maximum allowed in processing but is still too slow for what I'm trying to do. I was just wondering if anyone knew of a workaround to get to a higher baud, ideally 256000.

What platform are you running on (Mac or PC or...?) this seems to make a difference. I've run upwards of 115200 successfully on Mac and marginally successfully on PC.
