Internet connection?
Oct 20th, 2009, 4:04pm

I have a nice little Processing sketch working on my new MacBook Pro. One day, it worked here at my house, but then I took it downtown to show my gallery. Processing came up, but wouldn't run my sketch. Then I connected to the gallery's wireless internet, and voila! my sketch ran! What gives? Was that a coincidence? Thanks, anybody---

Since we don't know what your sketch does, it is hard to answer the question. Is it supposed to get some information from Internet?

It's an animation that moves a photo (loaded from the sketch directory) and rectangles (generated using the rect function) around the screen. I can't think of any reason that it would need to connect to the net. Perhaps I did something wrong (I can't imagine what) when I brought it up the first time, and the net connection thing was just a coincidence. ?

Thanks---at least I haven't missed something obvious. It must be gremlins loose in the universe...again.

Now that explains it. I was having trouble with Sketch on my Mac as well. That explains it now. Thanks for asking my question for me!
