Water... Again.

Created a(nother) water/splash/ripple simulation completely from scratch.

Uses the same viewing engine I found on an old post from flight404. Each point on the surface grid is given its own behaviour, kinda like particles/boids. The ripples are their own class, and essentially sends out an energy wave from each mouseclick.

Added splash droplets for fun, when vigorously rippling.
I hope to get some ideas about how I would create the droplets more realistically from the ripples.

UP DOWN LEFT RIGHT to rotate.
ENTER to switch on lighting.

Code is very badly labeled and structured, so I apologize for that, but I have named all the variables to match their functions.

Cool! I think working with 'elasticity' opens up for a lot of different uses. Here is something I did some weeks ago:

KMan, Quark:

Thanks for your kind words. Will explore textures with this soon, once my schedule opens up!

knut:

Yea. I like what you've done with that seaweed. I'm thinking of trying to put together a completely interactive fishbowl. Water, fish and seaweed.
