Help getting Processing working.

Hi I'm sure this is probably in an inappropriate forum but I cant get processing working, have downloaded it, transfered to apps. It opens fine, but even without any code entered when I press play i ge this error message (any help much appreciated!) :

Could not run the sketch.

[0] "Unrecognized option: -d32"
[1] "Could not create the Java virtual machine."

Using startup command:

Let me guess (since you don't specify it): you test this on Snow Leopard, no? There are already a number of messages about this issue, it seems related to 1.0.7 release, try installing the previous version.
If I am wrong (I don't own a Mac), please somebody corrects me.

Unfortunately no, I'm running the (presumably latest) downloadable version on OS X Tiger 10.4.

Are there previous versions of Processing somewhere I could try out?

Hold that, got it sorted, found the older versions, apparently I just need a really old one!

Ah, so perhaps it is the way around, the latest version having fixes for Snow Leopard that don't work on other versions of OSX. I admit I have read these threads quite quickly...

The Download page still gives the link to 1.0.6.

That's a problem with OS X 10.4, which is fixed in release 1.0.8.

However we're discontinuing support for OS X 10.4, please upgrade to 10.5 or 10.6
