using processing to control 4 serial ports at once

hi, has anyone attempted to use processing on one machine to control multiple serial ports at once? I'm thinking it's doable by just creating another object and assigning it a a different port than the first. my usb to 4 serial connector is in the mail so I can't test that idea just yet. so wondering if someone out there has attempted it.

thanks
j

I have used several serial ports simultaneously on both Mac and PC via Processing without a problem. Hope this works out for you!

How can I open a virtual port to communicate with some other software via serial?
