Intercepting Data Feeds
Jul 2nd, 2009, 4:37pm

I'm new to processing, but it's great fun.

I'm looking for some direction on intercepting data feeds from APIs like flickrleech.

Ultimately, I'd like to visually express something like the number of photos tagged 'dog' vs. photos tagged 'cat' being uploaded to Flickr.

Any particular tutorials / sample code you could point me towards?

Thanks!

I didn't know FlickLeech, but it seems down. Is it?

Yes, Flickr Leach is unfortunately down. Another one I like is Flickr Color Pickr.

If you want a very nice book for data visualization which also has a part on data acquisition you can have a look at the book of Ben Fry "Data Visualization"
