Can I stream video out of my sketch? (Read 1370 times)
Can I stream video out of my sketch?
Jun 23rd, 2009, 11:50am

Hey everyone, I've been asked by a client to stream video from a processing sketch I've done into Second Life using RTSP. I don't really work much with video in Processing so I'm not sure if there's a quick solution for this. I've looked into a bunch of the video libraries and done some searching around the site, but I'm having trouble coming up with a definitive answer on whether or not this can be done.

So can I do this with any of the video libraries? Can someone just point me to a reference spot or library documentation that will help me research and implement this? Thanks for any info...

Just want to bump this as I continue my search. Anyone know if I can stream my sketch window out through Quicktime streaming? If we can write files to a quicktime .mov, then I'm guessing we can stream somehow, but I'm having trouble finding documentation on this. Any leads would be appreciated.

Sorry i haven't seen this thread from the beginning.

Depending on which system you run (Linux, OS X, Windows), you can use a screen/video capture software to stream your Processing window.
