Scale/rotate/translate more processor intensive?

Hi, I was wondering if there is a decreased efficiency involved with drawing things to the grid if it's been translated. That is, does ellipse(10,200,10,10) 'cost' more processing wise if you call it after a rotate or translate?

1) It depends (or might): JAVA2D? P2D? P3D? OPENGL?
2) The best way to know is to test and measure...
3) I doubt it... And difference, if any, might be too small to be reliably measured.
