reading a usb port

Hello,
I am helping a student connect a Dream Cheeky roll up piano to his FLash application. The piano has a USB connector. It does not output MIDI. I want to know if processing will allow me to read the data from the USB port that the piano is connected to. I am unsure as to whether the serial library can do this. I have also found a c program that reads the usb port and converts this data to MIDI signals, but I am not sure a c program and Flash can talk to each other. Thank You
