vlw format?

I looked around a few times and I am overlooking any data about the vlw format. I understand its stored bitmaps. I would like to create or modify them on the fly.

I hope I posted in the right place. My question was so far out there it doesnt seem to fit anywhere!

Can someone point me to a resource or information about the format? Thanks.

Look at the code of PFont, the constructor and the save() function...
