I did find bug 219 where it says command line support has already been added, but even after 15-20 minutes of searching around, I haven't been able to find out how to use it ...

Where is it documented?

processing.exe does not seem to react to those switches ...

I had the vague feeling it wasn't ready yet, it is confirmed in the Revisions document:

There are workarounds in the bug report (and an example how to use it), you might want to try them.
