New Echo Nest Java API
Apr 7th, 2009, 12:17pm

Hey all:

Something that may be of interest to folks in this group.  I've just released a Java client library for the Echo Nest API.  The Echo Nest API provides a detailed analysis of a musical track.  The analysis includes: overall key, mode, time signature, loudness, as well as a detailed representation of the rhythm structure (bars, beats, tatums), and detailed timbral, pitch and loudness information for each sound entity in the track.  This API should allow folks to create interesting visualizations synchronized to music. The API also includes methods to get artist-level information including artist audio, news, reviews, blogs, similar artists, artist familiarity and hotness.

The Java client is open sourced at http://code.google.com/p/echo-nest-java-api/
