As a new comer,I hear from others that you'd better learn "interpolation" in computer grahics...So I've bought a book to handle these cases...

So I have to build a program that I can use to build the teapot right? There is no other approach?

I'm not sure.But my teacher seemed to have only that solution when he showed us his work of teapot developed with the help of a math algorithm in processing.
Sorry,I'm just an amateur in this field, may others tell you sth. more satisfying.
