looking for vector or force field examples

I know I have seen a simple sketch where the display window is populated with a grid of of points from which lines are drawn - vectors connecting each point with the position of the mouse cursor - but I can't seem to find it. Does anyone know of any sketches where there is a measurement between a grid of points and one or more attractor points, resulting in some effect, like the length or direction of a line starting from each point?
