Hi Johanna, I thought I would throw up a response here in case you get desperate.  I do NOT have experience in sound analysis, but if you provide some more specifics (what type of files, what is your desired product?) I could give you a very honest idea of my capabilities with it.

Joanna:  I'm not looking for a job, but I do know of a sound processing API that might be useful.  developer.echonest.com has an API for analyzing tracks. I've been thinking of creating a Java library for this API to make it easy to use with processing. If there's enough interest here, I just may do that.
