Continuing Education - NYC?
Nov 27th, 2008, 5:33am

I'm a design professional (architecture) in New York, and I'm looking for processing courses. I'm aware that NYU has some great programs, but I don't have time/money/etc to become a full student again. For the third time.

Is anyone aware of part-time/continuing education coursework in NYC? I'm speaking directly of/toward processing, but any and all code-based learning is equally loved.

Thanks much.
pD.

i'd like to add my interest in such a course as well.

i went so far as to impersonate being a student in order to get Daniel Shiffman's syllabus & pre-published book at the copy shop near NYU a few years ago.

book learning and hacking some code is great. but verbalizing what im learning "out loud" in discussion helps a lot.

I teach at The School of Visual Arts in NYC. I teach a little processing to my MFA students... but have tried to get an undergrad and continuing ed course to run. The problem has always been low enrollment.

Over the last year however, I've gained access to a teaching facility that would allow me to run a processing class/workshop with 5+ students. So if your interested send me an e-mail bendvent /at/ gmail dot com.
