Transparency different on my new graphics card
Aug 27th, 2008, 12:25pm

I just bought a new quad core, and ran my current Processing sketch on it, and noticed that the semi-transparent PNGs I have attached to my particles are looking a lot different than on my older computer (they seem a lot more transparent than they should be).

The sketch is opengl, so I'm wondering is it the graphics card on the new machine (as it runs as expected in p3d).

The new computer has a GeForce 7050/nVidia 610i motherboard card (very basic).

My older computer has a Radeon 9600 card (quite old, but better card?).

Has anyone had similar problems, is there a setting/hack I need to implement to fix transparency, or if it is a case I simply need a decent graphics card, could anyone suggest the best one available for about $400.

Thanks,
Glenn.
