audio bouncing balls

hey, i've made this a few months ago and just found it while 'cleaning' my hard drive. just thought i would share it. this is sort of an 'elektroplankton-like' sketch, for those who know this nintendo ds 'game'

pressing spacebar make a ball fall and bounce on rotating shapes, sending random midi signals.

you will hear this ugly piano sound which is set by default, but you can route the midi signal to an external audio app (using MidiYoke for Windows for example) and choose your favorite sample, add some effects, etc. see the video example provided :

This is interesting.

On my computer it doesn't produce sound on Java Synth. If I switch it past that its some Microsoft Synth dealie which works. If I change it again it seems to freeze up and then freezes every time a ball contacts an instrument.

Also the balls sometimes end up inside the instruments.

Anyway, its a cool sketch.
