Icon oddities on Macintosh
Jul 3rd, 2008, 8:18pm

I am working on a desktop Power PC Macintosh running OS X 10.3.9. I have both Director and Processing installed on this machine.

I made some movies in Director MX 2004 and they saved on my computer with standard Director file icons. I copied them to a thumb drive where, on my desktop, they retained their Director icons.

When I opened this thumb drive on another Macintosh ( a Mac mini where I have neither Director nor Processing installed,) these files had Processing file icons! They still ran correctly, but I am wondering if anyone has seen this before and has a fix? Surely this should not be happening!

there is something wrong with the desktop database of that particular machine, nothing that can be fixed on the processing side.
