Frozen in Tiger
May 8th, 2008, 12:32am

Hey,

I've had processing installed on my system for about 4 months but just went to open it up and it freezes every time.  No info  in the console, and I've tried reinstalling.  Any ideas?

Thanks,

Max

What version of Processing are you using?  Especially if it's not one of the versions with Java included, what version of Java are you running?  Do you have problems with any other Java apps?

Hi ewjordan,

Version 0135 of Processing and (tell me if I checked in the right place) when I open Java Preferences in my utilities it says I'm running J2SE 5...Wait, when I click on "Java 1.4.2 plugin settings" it freezes too!   Interesting.  No problem running Java apps elsewhere.

I'm on a MacBook Pro with 10.4.11 btw

p.s. To do a clean uninstall is it as easy as getting rid of the application folder, or are there application support files in the library somewhere I should trash as well?
