Reading Barcodes (more than QR codes)

Hi, I'm wondering if there are any libraries out there to read traditional 1D barcodes.

I'm aware of Daniel Shiffman's QRcode (http://www.shiffman.net/p5/pqrcode) but it only does QR codes. I came across the zxing java library (http://code.google.com/p/zxing) and the mzxing Mobile Processing wrapper for it (http://mjs.darkgreenmedia.com/site/?service=Catalog&task=showProduct&productID=26)  but I can't test mzxing because it seems that Processing/Mobile Processing libraries are incompatible.

I'm interested in reading 1D barcodes in the USS-128 format, from a video input.

Any advice?
